JavaScript and its Use-cases

JavaScript has grown in popularity to become one of the most widely used programming languages of all time. It all started in 1995, when Brenda Eich built JavaScript in just ten days. I’ve created a blog about the basics of JavaScript and how it’s being used in industry today to address problems.

What is JavaScript ?

JavaScript is a text-based programming language that allows you to build interactive web pages on both the client and server sides. Whereas HTML and CSS provide structure and design to web pages, JavaScript adds interactive features that keep users engaged. The search box on Amazon, a news recap video posted in The New York Times, and refreshing your Twitter feed are all examples of JavaScript that you may encounter on a daily basis.

JavaScript is a cross-platform, object-oriented programming language for creating dynamic web pages (e.g., having complex animations, clickable buttons, popup menus, etc.).There are also more powerful server-side JavaScript versions, like as Node.js, that allow you to do more than just download files to a website. In the presence of a host (for example, a web browser),JavaScript may be linked to its environment’s objects to provide it programmatic control over them.

Features of JavaScript:

♦ Scripting language and not Java:

JavaScript, on the other hand, has nothing to do with Java. Why is it called “Java” Script, then? When JavaScript was initially published, it was known as Mocha. It was then renamed to LiveScript and then to JavaScript after a license deal between Netscape (the creator of JavaScript) and Sun.

♦ Object-based scripting language:

Polymorphism, encapsulation, and, to some extent, inheritance are all supported.

♦Interpreted language:

It does not need to be compiled in the same way as Java and C do.

♦JavaScript runs in a browser:

It works with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, and other browsers. JavaScript can run in a browser, on a server, or on any device that supports a JavaScript Engine.

♦Client Side Technologies:

Web applications, such as ASP.NET Core, usually rely on client-side web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Complex web apps can benefit from the Separation of Concerns principle by separating the page’s content (HTML) from its layout and style (CSS), as well as its behavior (through JavaScript). When these issues are not entangled, future modifications to the structure, design, or behavior of the programmer may be made more simply.

JavaScript Frameworks:

JS frameworks are pre-written JavaScript programming libraries that may be used to perform common programming operations and activities. It’s a framework for building webpages and online apps. Most website developers choose frameworks since they are more versatile for website design. Let’s have a look at some of the most popular JS frameworks.

⚡Angular:

Angular is a JavaScript framework that is both strong and open-source. This framework is run by Google and is intended for use in the development of Single Page Applications (SPA). This programming framework is well-known for providing the finest circumstances for combining JavaScript with HTML and CSS. Angular is used by almost half a million websites, including google.com, youtube.com, and others.

⚡Ember.js:

Ember.js is a free JavaScript client-side framework for creating web apps that is open source. It enables the development of client-side JavaScript applications by offering a comprehensive solution that includes data management and an application flow.

MeteorJS:

MeteorJS, often known as Meteors, is a Node.js-based free and open-source isomorphic JavaScript web framework. Meteor enables quick prototyping and generates code that is cross-platform (Android, iOS, and Web).It is mainly used for providing back-end development. Using JavaScript on the back-end to save time and build expertise is one of the major ideas behind Meteor.

⚡jQuery:

jQuery can be used when you want to extend your website and make it more interactive. Companies like Google, WordPress, and IBM rely on jQuery. jQuery greatly simplifies JavaScript programming.

jQuery is easy to learn.

What is JavaScript used for?

1. Adding interactive behavior to web pages

2. Creating web and mobile apps

3. Building web servers and developing server applications

4.Game development Application of JavaScript.

5.Client-side validation.

7.To change the appearance of HTML documents.

8.To create the forms that respond to user input without accessing the server.

Many More….

Application of JavaScript:

All around the globe, JavaScript is the most frequently used programming language. It boasts the world’s largest open-source package repository (npm). JavaScript is used by every form of software, including server code (Node.js), productivity apps, 3D games, robots, and IoT devices. JavaScript has accomplished the aim that Java set for itself many years ago: write once, run anywhere. JavaScript is used in a variety of ways.

How 3 Major Companies Are Using JavaScript:

♦Microsoft:

To build its Edge web browser, Microsoft will need to collaborate closely with JavaScript. Because all browsers must efficiently interpret and execute JavaScript, Microsoft created and maintains its own JavaScript engine for Edge. Actually, there has been talk of them developing a NodeJS version that runs on the Edge engine. Microsoft has recently shown a strong interest in NodeJS.

♦PayPal:

PayPal Holdings, Inc. is an American corporation that operates an online payments system in the majority of nations that allow online money transfers. It acts as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods such as checks and money orders. The firm charges a fee to act as a payment processor for online retailers, auction sites, and a variety of other commercial customers.

♦Netflix:

Netflix’s backend is still powered by Java, but everything the user sees is powered by Node. Node is a server-side JavaScript runtime that enables developers to write the same code for a web application’s front end and back end.

Thank you soo much for reading the blog hope will help you regarding the JavaScript use cases…😊😊
